Meet Shawn Hoffman

Shawn went to Stanford University on a full academic scholarship before starting work as a professional actor, writer, and filmmaker. Upon moving to L.A. he was accepted into the L.A. Met Theater Group with Ed Harris, Holly Hunter and Angelina Jolie.

Shawn just finished work as a CONSULTING PRODUCER for the hit NBC television show “The Apprentice” starring Donald Trump.

Shawn has performed lead acting roles in numerous films including the soon to be relased (2007) LION’S GATE film “ED GEIN: The Butcher of Plainfield” – other starring roles include Scarecrow (Warner Brothers Studios), Cats Cradle (which played on the Sundance Film Channel), Adventures in Dinosaur City (Disney Studios), Hot Rush (DreamWorks Film Festival), “Too Young to Die” (distributed internationally), and the upcoming film “The Heat Chamber”.

In addition, Shawn has sold over half a dozen SCREENPLAYS including HOMETOWN LEGEND which he CO-PRODUCED, which won the Grand Prize at the Vision Film Festival and was distributed by Warner Brothers., as well as ENDGAME, SELLING YOUR SOUL, and several others.

Shawn has had several writing deals as well as films in development with Tom Cruise’s company (C/W Productions which produced Mission Impossible 1 & 2, Minority Report, etc.), John Woo & Terence Chang’s company Lion Rock Productions (which produced Face/Off, Broken Arrow, Windtalkers, etc.), 50 Cannon Productions (Producers of Academy Award winning Traffic, Four Weddings and a Funeral, & Donnie Brasco, etc.), and Producer Gerry Molen (Academy Award Winning Producer of Schindler’s List, Rain Man, Jurassic Park 1 & 2, Minority Report, etc.), and RKO Studios.

In 2004, Shawn’s script SAMSON won the BEVERLY HILLS FILM FESTIVAL for BEST SCREENPLAY.
