Born in 1978 in Mexico City, Omar had a passion for films and the arts at an early age. His family is from the golden Mexican era of pioneer filmmakers. His great-grand father GUSTAVO CANDIANI started his career in the 40's as a filmmakers and became the proprietor of one of the biggest Studios in Mexico. When he was 18 he went to Photography School and spend 2 years learning about the arts. He then went on to study film and spent time working as an assistant and watching a lot of movies. He got his first job at 19 as a professional photographer, then at 21 became the Editor of PELICULAS RODRIGUEZ – one of the largest post productions companies in Mexico. During the golden era, they own and produced all the Pedro Infante Movies and many others. Actors such as Maria Felix, Jorge Negrete, and so on.
In 2002 Omar quit the filming industry and came to the USA to open a moto-cross Motorcycle business with my friend. They became very successful, particularly in Mexico – they own stores in both Mexico and the USA. He traveled When his son Christian was born he quit the motorcycle business and began working on films again. Back in LA Omar is very involved in many projects. Omar continues to study film.
